The Steelers have begun to incorporate robots in their team activities. The robotic tackling dummies were created by Dartmouth college where head coach Buddy Teevens banned live tackling in practice. Teevens goal in doing so was to reduce the amount of repetitive impact the players received. With so much focus on player safety now-a-days, we could see full implementation of the robotic tackling dummies in full effect across the league. The robots can cut, weave, and start or stop on a dime.
