With the recent whirlwind of rumors surrounding Conor McGregor and his “retirement” Dana White has decided to take McGregor off of the fight card for UFC 200. McGregor was scheduled to take on Nate Diaz in a rematch of their March 5th fight where Diaz won by submission. McGregor took to Twitter to announce his retirement from UFC.
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.
Catch ya’s later.

Representatives from McGregor’s camp have not officially come out to announce his retirement but McGregor refused to fly out and participate in the promotional activities. Though it is unlikely that McGregor is officially retiring, Dana White is not the person to play poker games with. The only other time this has happened in UFC history is when Nick Diaz skipped out on the activities which led to White pulling Diaz out of the fight. Only time will tell if McGregor is truly retiring but as it stands now, McGregor is out.
